The history of freedom

The exhibition will present over a thousand years of history of the Polish state and nation with the help of original monuments, scenography and multimedia. The history of freedom will occupy a central place in this story, including the centuries-old history of Polish parliamentarism, constitutional traditions, republican traditions, the history of the struggle to preserve and regain independence, and the struggle against totalitarianism. Work on the script was carried out by a team of MHP historians, supported by outstanding researchers from leading national academic centers.
The exhibition project was prepared by a consortium of the WWAA studio and Platige Image, the winner of an international competition organized by the Museum. The leaders of this team were Natalia Paszkowska and Boris Kudlička. Intensive work on the preparation of the visual and spatial design of the exhibition lasted from November 2016. The final scenario of the exhibition and the scenographic concept of its most important points were developed in 2017.
