History of the Piasts

“History of the Piasts” is an annual event that blends history and theater, focused on the history of the Piast dynasty, aimed at children from ages 5 to 9. The project introduced participants to the history of ten Polish rulers, including the founder of the Piast dynasty, Mieszko I, and the first Polish king, Bolesław Chrobry.

Each meeting consisted of two parts: a performance focused on one of the Piast rulers, followed by arts workshops. The works hops were designed to help attendees create their own puppet theater.

Theater shows staged as part of “History of the Jagiellonians” and “History of the Piasts” were set up by Teatr Wolandejski.
